Awareness Ribbon Colours and what each one means

The ribbon symbol has been adopted by many charities to raise awareness, each using a different colour to represent their specific medical condition or issue. The most recognised would probably be the red ribbon symbol which is worn in support of those with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and the pink ribbon symbol for breast cancer.

To help celebrate our launch of mini awareness ribbon charm bracelets, here is a list of the different coloured ribbon awareness symbols and what each represents:

By Colour

Black – Melanoma, Narcolepsy, Sleep Apnoea & Sleep Disorders
Blue – Prostate Cancer, Anti-Bullying, Guillain Barre Syndrome, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Colon Cancer, Colorectal Cancer

Orange – Leukaemia & Kidney Cancer

Purple – Epilepsy, Pancreatic Cancer, Fibromyalgia, Lupus
Rainbow - Autism

Teal – Ovarian Cancer, Vulvar Cancer
